PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a slurry bed reactor which can disperse a catalyst uniformly in the whole reactor and can suppress development of large air bubbles. SOLUTION: In the slurry bed reactor, catalytic slurry with catalytic powder suspended in medium oil is stored. The inside is divided by partitions disposed in lengthwise direction, a sparger to blow gaseous material is installed in a lower part of a chamber formed by the partition, and a passage through which the slurry flows between the chambers is provided.
