PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To improve a drying efficiency of a washing and drying machine which has a process for drying laundries by blowing warmed air into its inner vessel and can carry out processes thoroughly from washing to drying, by hitting the cooling air to the outer surface of the outer vessel concentratively to cool the outer vessel for an effective desiccation. SOLUTION: The inner vessel 30 having a rotation axis in the vertical direction is supported rotatably in the outer vessel 25 hung elastically in a box body 24. On the inner bottom of the inner vessel 30, a rotation wing 31 is fixed rotatably. The inner vessel 30 or the rotation wing 31 is driven with a motor 27. Air blow by a circulation blower 25 is introduced to a circulation air path 41, is heated with a heater 36 and is blown into the inner vessel 30. Cooling air is introduced into the box body 24 from outside with a cooling blower 37. The operations of the motor 27, the circulation blower 35, the heater 36, the cooling blower 37 and so on are controlled with the controller 49. The cooling blower 37 is to hit the introduced cooling air to the outer surface of the outer vessel 25.
