The invention relates to a method and an apparatus for combustion of solid waste, particularly containing PVC, wherein the apparatus comprises at least one first reactor (1) for de-hydro chlorination of the waste and at least one second reactor (3, 4, 5) for combustion of the waste, at least one of said reactors being a fluidized bed reactor. The process is useful for heat and electric power generation, chlorine is recovered as HCl. |
