The invention relates to an electrical coupling unit for transmitting higher-frequency electrical data streams in the frequency range of approximately 9 kHz to 30 MHz via low voltage lines (L1, L3). Said coupling unit comprises a connecting module (1) which has a coupling capacitor (4, 4') with a back-up fuse (5, 5') in series as a high frequency coupler (2, 2'). The invention provides that in order to create a coupling unit of this type which can be industrially series-produced, which enables data to be coupled in and out of the energy conductor, which integrates well into the existing connection lines and which meets security requirements, the connecting module (1), which can be connected to two energy conductors (L1, L3) by means of two data branch lines and to a modem by means of modem conductors, has a transformer (6) which is coupled with the coupling capacitor (4, 4') for galvanically separating the modem, as well as an overvoltage protector (7) at the modem end. |
