SPROCKET MADE OF STEEL PLATE AND METHOD FOR ITS MANUFACTURE

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a sprocket made of a steel plate and a method of manufacture which allow a rolling work to be employed by a press machine for forming a tooth form in a single process with degrees of accuracy and at an extremely low cost. SOLUTION: A manufacturing method for a sprocket made of the steel plate which is provided with a punching process to flank out a rolled steel plate into a round plate by pressing for forming a stock 4, a drawing process to form vertically a flange 7 in the outer edge section of the bottom while a boss aperture 5, and a boss section 6 are formed at the center of the raw material and a roller form rolling process which forms the tooth form 8 at one time over all the peripheral regions of the flange 7 through the roller forming by the press. And this method is designed to employ a thickening forming process to thicken a sprocket forming section after the roller form rolling process.
