PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a massaging apparatus that performs a variety of massages. SOLUTION: This massaging apparatus that is contained in a backrest 2a of a massaging chair 2 comprises four hollow cylindrical air bags 3 each of which is expanded and contracted depending on supply and exhaust of air, an air driven roller type massaging part 5 that is formed in a cylindrical shape with a harder material than the bag 3 arranged in line in an axial direction in the hollow part of the bag 3 and has a freely revolving axle 4 that supports the bag 3 and an air supply and exhaust unit 6 that supplies and exhausts air to and from the air bag 3. A massage with an expansion of the air bag 3 and that with the axle 4 accompanying to the contracting of the air bag are applied to a user.
