PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a merchandise advancing tool for a hook capable of being easily assembled later to the hook for merchandise display already attached to a merchandise display shelf. SOLUTION: This merchandise advancing tool 11 for the hook is attachably and detachably attached to the shaft part of the hook for the merchandise display so as to move merchandise hung from the shaft part of the hook for the merchandise display and displayed in a front-to-back direction to the front side. It is provided with a pressurizing piece part 13 projected downwards so as to be arranged on the back surface side of the merchandise and provided with an insertion hole 18 where the shaft part can be inserted and a horizontal plate 26 formed by being projected forward from the upper end of the pressurizing piece part 13 and provided with a holding part 27 near the front end. The shaft part is inserted to the insertion hole 18 and it is attached to the hook for the merchandise display. A turning preventing member disposed at the pressurizing piece part 13 or the horizontal plate part 26 for preventing the turning in a shaft part peripheral direction of the pressurizing piece part 13 is included.
