PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a mid-mount type rice transplanter designed to move to a levee without stepping off the steering seat onto the farming field to supply preliminary seedlings and/or a fertilizer. SOLUTION: This sulky rice transplanter has such a construction that a steering seat is disposed behind the engine bonnet on the front portion of the machine body, and a planting section and a preliminary seedling stand are mounted on the rear portion and the rearmost portion of the steering seat, respectively; wherein there is furnished a passage where an operator can walk from the floor of the steering seat to the rearmost portion of the machine body, and the passage also communicates with the step on the flank of the engine bonnet; besides, there is furnished a step for supplying a fertilizer so as to enable the fertilizer to be charged via the inlet of a fertilizer hopper into the hopper situated high.
