PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To reduce a burden of a user at the time of his operating an operating apparatus to the utmost by devising a shape of the operating apparatus to be easily held in accordance with a using condition of the user. SOLUTION: The operating apparatus is furnished with an operating apparatus main body 101 on a surface of which an operating key and a display device are arranged and a plural number of gripping parts 201 arranged on a back surface of this operating apparatus main body 101, and an engagement part 710 to engage the gripping parts 201 free to connect and disconnect is provided on the back surface of the operating apparatus main body 101. Consequently, it is possible to make the operating apparatus easy to hold in accordance with size of a hand of the user and his way of gripping it as the gripping parts 201 different in shape from each other can be installed in accordance with the size of the hand of the user, and it is possible to realize the operating apparatus to reduce the burden of the user at the time of operating the operating apparatus to the utmost. Additionally, a strap to put the back of the hand on is furnished, and a plural number of sticking parts to stick a head end of the strap free to connect and disconnect are arranged on a side surface or the back surface of the operating apparatus main body.
