PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a corrugated fiberboard box having a hooking string which is sufficiently strong, lightweight, easily manufactured and inexpensive. SOLUTION: Two holes 21A and 21B and two holes 22A and 22B are made in a flat 21 and a flap 22 of a bottom wall 2 of the corrugated fiberboard box, respectively, a string is passed through the hole 21A, and led from the hole 22A through the inside of the bottom wall, and again passed through the hole 22B after forming one loop outside a side wall, led outside from the hole 21B through the inside of the bottom wall, and both ends of the string are tied each other forming the other loop outside the side wall. These loops are used as the hooking string 5 when hung or carried by a hoist with a heavy article stored in the box. When the box is hoisted, the string holds the box, an expensive reinforcing plate for preventing the breakage of a conventional hooking and string-fitting hole and the labor for adhering the reinforcing plate can be dispensed with, and the inexpensive box can be provided.
