PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain a composition for scavenging adenosine 5'-triphosphate (ATP) or a deoxy-ATP (dATP) good in efficiency without using a glucose 6-phosphate dehydrogenase by using a glucokinase and to provide a method for scavenging the ATP and dATP. SOLUTION: This composition for scavenging the ATP or dATP is characterized as comprising potassium ions or ammonium ions in the composition for scavenging the ATP or dATP containing the glucokinase without containing glucose 6-phosphate dehydrogenase.
