PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To shorten a shaping time and to simplify and miniaturize an optical shaping apparatus for irradiating photosetting resin layers with light to laminate these resin layers while curing them to manufacture an optically shaped article having a predetermined three-dimensional shape. SOLUTION: The optical shaping apparatus is constituted of a stage 1 having a light transmission part 11, the light irradiation apparatus 4 arranged under the stage 1, the table 3 arranged above the stage 1 and having a resin supply hole made therein, the lift mechanism 2 for driving the table 3 to raise and lower the same, an optical shaping control unit 8 for controlling the operation of the lift mechanism 2 and the light irradiation apparatus 4 and a resin supply tank 5 for supplying an uncured resin to the resin supply hole of the table 3. The space between the table 3 or the cured resin layer formed on the rear surface of the table 3 and the stage 1 is filled with the uncured resin to form an uncured resin layer with predetermined thickness and the region corresponding to contour line data is irradiated with light.
