PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To prevent any injury and to ensure the safety by the rotation of an exposed cutter of an electric food processor when only one container stand is fitted to the food processor. SOLUTION: This electric food processor comprises a projecting part 21 provided on the body 1, the container stand 5 fitted to the projecting part 21, and an interference component 16 provided with the container 7 fitted to the projecting part 5 and having a projection part 23 interfering the projecting part 21 on the container stand 5 which are built therein, and a relay component 9 to be depressed by the container 7 is provided on the container stand 5. When the relay component 9 is depressed, the interference component 16 is actuated to eliminate the interference of the projection part 23 with the projecting part 21. When the container 7 is not fitted to the container base 5, the container base is not fitted to the body 1, the injury by the exposed cutter 6 can be prevented, and the safety can be ensured.
