PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain a recorder performing a desired recording by reading out print data sequentially unit by unit, performing a required processing of the print data thus read out and delivering the processed print data to a print control circuit in which data processing rate is enhanced by reading/writing the print data efficiently from/to a memory. SOLUTION: The recorder comprises means for taking out a specified number of continuous print data sequentially and performs recording by processing the specified number of print data thus taken out sequentially as objective print data and delivering it to a print control circuit wherein the means for taking out the print data is arranged to take out the objective print data simultaneously with at least two print data adjacent to the print data at the opposite ends of the objective print data.
