PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method capable of manufacturing woody material capable of being used as structural material by lightening a drop of intensity due to deflection of orientation in a length direction even in the case where, for example, a short woody material piece of <15 cm is used. SOLUTION: In a method for manufacturing woody structural material (7) provided wherein a mat is formed by laminating woody material pieces by arranging properly their longitudinal directions substantially in a forming line direction while an admixture of a slender woody material piece and a bonding agent is dropped from upside, and the woody material piece is bonded by the bonding agent by heating and pressurizing the mat, the mat is heated and pressurized by an apparatus from one side or both sides of a lateral direction of the forming line, and otherwise after rotating the forming line direction as a rotary shaft by 90 deg. in either of left or right while the laminated state of the mats is kept, it is heated and pressurized from one side of up or down, or both of up and down directions.
