PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a wire electric discharge machining device capable of improving machining accuracy and machining efficiency. SOLUTION: A bush 51 formed by insulating material is fixed to a holder 50. A first current-carrying terminal 53 and a guide 54 made of insulating material with an outer diameter the same as that of the current-carrying terminal 53 and arranged with a second current-carrying terminal 55 on its outer circumference part are fixed to a piston 56a of a cylinder 56. The current-carrying terminal 53 is connected to a roughing power source 20 by a cable 21a, and the current-carrying terminal 55 is connected to a finishing power source 22 by a cable 23. The current-carrying terminal 53 or the current-carrying terminal 55 is contacted to a wire 3 by operating the cylinder 56.
