PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To improve operability and safety by locking a cover body automatically at the beginning of a sterilizing operation and releasing the lock automatically at the end of the sterilizing operation without operating a bothersome rotary handle. SOLUTION: This sterilizer comprises a chamber 5, a cover body 16 having a packing 17 that tightly closes an opening part 6 of the chamber 5 and a lock lever 22, an angle 29 that has a lock pin 32 and slides on a supporting attachment 26 fixed on the chamber, a driving motor 38 that moves the angle, and a pressure sensor 51. When the pressure sensor 51 detects a predetermined minus pressure in the chamber, the driving motor 38 is operated to move the angle 29 to engage the lock pin 32 with the lock lever 22 or disengage them. |
