PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an ultrasonic diagnosing device by which a proper ultrasonic image can be obtained in response to the attenuation characteristics of an ultrasonic wave at an observation objective area by using an ultrasonic oscillator of a wide zone. SOLUTION: An ultrasonic probe 3 having the built-in wide zone ultrasonic oscillator 2 is connected to a transmitting circuit 5 and a receiving circuit 6 of an observing device 4. Then, in response to the observation objective, a transmitting mode can be selectively controlled through a transmitting/ receiving controller 21 in a controller 10 by an operation form an operation panel 9. Also, the DFS control curve of a DFS control table 22 is selected, and is applied to the DFS circuit 16 of the receiving circuit 6. Thus, the characteristics of the transmitting/receiving are selectable in response to the ultrasonic wave attenuation characteristics of the observation objective, and an ultrasonic image of a favorable S/N can be obtained.
