PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a frothing agent for plaster slurry which has high frothing and provide hardness to the frothed plaster to break even under a mechanical shear force. SOLUTION: The frothing agent for plaster slurry contains one or more kinds selected from a group which consists of compounds expressed by Formula (I) and its salt. Formula (I): R1O(AO)nCH2COOH (I) [in Formula, R1 is 6-26C alkyl group, alkenyl group, R2-(C6H4)-O- (R2 is H or 1-12C alkyl group), AO is 2-3C oxy alkylene group, and n expresses the average addition molar number of AO and shows 1-100].
