<p>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To prevent the air lock phenomenon of a vane wheel caused by retaining air supplied to a mixed liquor comprising sewage and activated sludge in the vicinity of the vane wheel, in an aerator disposed in a water passage storing the mixed liquor. SOLUTION: An upward passage 12a for delivering the mixed liquor upward is installed in the inside of a device casing 2. An air diffusion part 55 for supplying air to the mixed liquor is installed above a vane wheel 33 in the upward passage 12a. The mixed liquor which is mixed with air on the downstream side of the vane wheel 33 is discharged from a diffuser 13 almost horizontally extending along the water passage.</p> |
