PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for inspecting an ink jet recording head and a method for manufacturing an ink jet recording head in which incomplete printing, especially initial incomplete printing, can be prevented by removing a foreign matter in the ink channel. SOLUTION: The inventive method comprises a step for inspecting print quality by filling a chamber 13 with ink and ejecting ink from a nozzle opening 21, a step for irradiating a foreign matter contained in the ink in the chamber 13 from the outside of a translucent substrate 11 to crush the foreign matter, and a step for discharging ink containing the crushed foreign matter from the nozzle opening 21.
