PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a paper discharge driven roller for an ink jet printer capable of keeping a paper gap constant in a way that even when a press force by the paper discharge driven roller is exerted on the upper surface of a paper sheet, paper sheets around that part do not approach the head side, and the marks of a notched roller are prevented from being left formed in a print surface. SOLUTION: The paper discharge driven rollers 31 are situated opposite to one or two or more paper discharge drive rollers 29 positioned downstream of a paper feeding direction from a print head 21 and have width wider than that of the corresponding paper discharge driver roller 29. Two ends are disposed in a state to respectively extend longer than the two corresponding ends of the paper discharge drive roller 29 and the surfaces of the paper discharge driven rollers are provided with smooth surfaces 37.
