PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a waste treatment apparatus which can simultaneously convey and cool combustible solids generated by a pyrolysis furnace and separate incombustible solids. SOLUTION: By conveying the combustible solids produced by the pyrolysis furnace 1 by gas of which the temperature is adjusted in a cooling classifier 51 by a heat exchanger 55, the temperature of the combustible solids is adjusted, and the incombustible solids different in specific gravity and particle size are separated.
