PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for heating a die by which the same heater is also usable for a die having a different external diameter shape in the die heating method to improve dimensional accuracy of the molded article and which can also cope with an interference object against the heater in the periphery of the die. SOLUTION: In the method for heating a die for the warm or hot forging, the method for heating the die is characterized in that a heater constituted of a plurality of ceramic insulators including a flexible heating element as a heater wire for heating in the periphery of the die has been used.
