PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an original plate for a planographic printing plate which can be developed with water or an aqueous solution or can be attached to a printing machine directly after image writing without developing to carry out printing, has high sensitivity and good printing resistance, can give a print free from a residual color and stain and enables direct plate making from digital data by recording with a solid laser, a semiconductor laser or the like which emits IR. SOLUTION: The original plate has a latex-containing layer (A) and an ink receiving layer (B) having solubility in at least one of water and an aqueous solution varied under heat in this order on a base with a hydrophilic surface and contains a photothermal converting agent in at least one of the layers A and B. When crosslinked organic resin particles are used as the latex contained in the layer A, better strength of an image area, that is, printing resistance is ensured. |
