PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To prevent unauthorized copy of computer software and to allow users to make authorized copy and use freely software. SOLUTION: A user authentication server 5 loaded with user authentication data base 4 is connected to internet circuit 1. Computer software 2 for application programs and the like is loaded with authentication software 4 which has functions such as a function to acquire a certified ID, a function to check using status, a function to acquire user's valid term and the like. If the software 2 is used through the internet circuit 1, the use is certified by the user authentication database 4, and the certified ID, the valid term and the like are acquired. The use of application software can be used for the specified term by this authorized authentication process. |
