PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To simplify the correction method to temperature. SOLUTION: This torque detector 10 comprises a torque sensor 12, a temperature characteristic setting part 13, a temperature sensor 14, a signal processing part 16 and the like. The torque sensor 12 outputs an electric signal changed according to the torque value applied to a steering shaft. The temperature characteristic setting part 13 converts the electric signal outputted from the torque sensor 12 into an electric signal having a positive temperature coefficient (or negative temperature coefficient). The temperature sensor 14 measures the temperatures of the torque sensor 12 and a PS device 18. The signal processing part 16 corrects the electric signal outputted from the temperature characteristic setting part 13 on the basis of the temperature detected by the temperature sensor 14 and the temperature characteristic of the torque sensor 12 and outputs the result to the PS Device 18. |
