PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To prevent the illegal use of a forged coin having difference between the features of its respective faces though the total feature of both of the faces of the coin is nearly equal to that of normal coin. SOLUTION: This device is provided with detecting means 31 and 32 for detecting the feature of one face of the coin and that of the other face to detect the feature of the one face of the coin and that of the other face. Thus, the forged coin having difference between the features of its respective faces is prevented from being used illegally.
