PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a photographic film processing device which quickly detects a cut part of film and enables the cope of a worker according to the cut part. SOLUTION: In this photographic film processing device 1, a film continuous body 5 which is made by connecting plural rolls of photographic film in series is conveyed into respective tanks 12-14 which are arrayed in order from a color development tank 10 and the processing is performed therein. In addition, this processing device 1 is provided with detecting means 21, 24 which detect the part at which the film continuous body 5 is cut, on the basis of the color development tank 10. Therefore, it is detected whether the film continuous body 5 is cut on the downstream side of the color development tank 10 or on the upstream side thereof including the color development tank 10 and the discovery and recovery of the cut part are exactly and quickly performed.
