摘要 PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain a waste treatment plant in which reuse rate of valuable matters can be enhanced by increasing the recovery rate of valuable matters, e.g. iron scrap from pyrolysis residue and the quantity of carbon residue being supplied to a combustion melting furnace can be increased by increasing the recovery rate of carbon residue. SOLUTION: A pyrolysis drum 12 is provided with a foreign matter discharging mechanism 90 for passing mass foreign matter in the residue of thermal decomposition, discharged from the residue discharging port of the pyrolysis drum 12, through a residue receiving port 92 communicating with a residue sorter 91 from above while allowing small residue of thermal decomposition to leak downward to the residue receiving port 92 side. A pyrolysis residue sorting facility 3 comprises a first residue sorting section 94 for sorting thermal decomposition residue leaked downward from the foreign matter discharging mechanism 90 and entered the residue receiving port 92 by means of the residue sorter 91, and a second residue sorting section 95 for sorting mass foreign matter. The second residue sorting section 95 comprises a mechanism 98 for separating pyrolysis residue adhering to the mass foreign matter and feeding it to the first residue sorting section 94, and a mechanism 99 for recovering the mass foreign matter to a foreign matter recovering section 73.
