PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an information recorder capable of intentionally making the temporary stop or restarting the recording operation in the process of recording, under the condition for reading out data normally and continuously later even though the temporary stopping and restarting of the write-in of data are carried out. SOLUTION: Fundamentally, the data can be normally and continuously reproduced later, even though the temporary stopping and restarting of the write-in of data are carried out, by performing the write-in (S1) for keeping the data continuity at the parts of end and start points of the write-in of information to the recording medium. When the temporary stop of the write-in is instructed (Y of S2) in the process of writing under such a state, the writing operation is temporarily stopped (S4) intentionally with optional timing, and since the restarting is allowed (S6, S1) when the restart is instructed (Y of S5) after that, the intentional temporary stop of the information recording is attained in accordance with the operational state of other application program or the user's condition, and a highly adaptable information recorder is obtained.
