PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To prevent an abnormal curving and distortion of image from occurring on a screen. SOLUTION: This circuit for correcting a deflection-distortion of image by modulating a power voltage Vout for horizontal deflection of an image display unit has a first correction data generating means 3 to generate the correction data for an image displaying period, a second correction data generating means 2 to generate the correction data for a vertical blanking period, and a deflection- distortion correction signal generating means 4 to generate, according to the said correction data, the correction signal Sa for the image displaying period and the vertical blanking period by which the said power voltage is modulated. The said second correction data generating means generates the said correction data so that the said correction signal reaches a value of the end of the image displaying period at the start of the vertical blanking period, and continuously gives monotonous decrease over all of the vertical blanking period, and reaches a value of the start of the image displaying period at the end of the vertical blanking period. |
