PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a battery pressing method for a recharge and discharge device of a secondary battery using a light weight device. SOLUTION: The first invention comprises a secondary battery mounted on a U-shape frame body composed of right and left side wall plate portions having a locking hole for locking a locking plate of the prescribed shape at the prescribed positions and a bottom plate portion, and a pressing plate having a column forming the axis for the compression spring equipped at the center portion has been mounted on the top face of the secondary battery. And a compression spring is wound around the column and a nearly rectangular shaped locking plate having the prescribed length, having been pushed down to the prescribed height against the compression spring, being turned to the horizontal direction, is engaged with the locking hole of the right and the left side wall plate portions at its both ends. Furthermore, the battery may be disposed on the same tray for plural pieces, or plural layers of battery may be disposed. The second invention comprises a different structure for the U-shape frame.
