PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To make a semiconductor, as a SI thyristor or the like which can be turned on by triggering but not to turned off, usable in relatively large current. SOLUTION: For making a switching element 34 for discharge which is turned on by a trigger signal fed from a trigger circuit 40 turn off, a network 50 for arc extinction to make a voltage applied to the switching element 34 for discharge zero or minus is provided.
