PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To prevent suction of a foreign material without deteriorating cooling when a motor generator is housed inside a crank pulley of an engine. SOLUTION: The motor generator M, which is housed in a ring-shaped space S that is formed between the crank pulley 9 fixed at a shaft end of a crankshaft 8 and an engine sidewall 26, consists of a stator 39 held at the engine sidewall 26 and a rotor 34 held at the internal surface of the peripheral wall 33 of the pulley 9. Also there are mounted an air guide path 46 that communicatively connects the external space of the pulley 9 to the ring-shaped space S and an air eject path 50 that communicatively connects the ring-shaped space S to the external space of the pulley 9. Then, a coil 37 of the stator 39 is cooled by air inhaled to the ring-shaped space S through the air guide path 46 by a cooling fan 28a mounted at the external periphery of a boss 28 of the pulley 9 that is fixed to the shaft end of the crankshaft 8, and the air is ejected from the air eject path 50.
