PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a piezoelectric oscillator which can stably supply a high frequency by suppressing a temperature rise caused by internally generated heat and can be made compact and thin. SOLUTION: The piezoelectric oscillator is constituted by molding a vibrator having a piezoelectric element, such as a crystal vibrator and a SAW resonator put in a case and an IC chip such as an IC for a PLL electrically connected to the vibrator by using mold resin; and a lead for heat radiation is extended to an island of a lead frame where the IC chip is installed and part of it is exposed from the mold resin to positively radiate the heat generated by the IC chip. A lead for heat radiation is fitted even to the case of the vibrator and led out of the mold resin and thus the heat conducted to the case is radiated to prevent the piezoelectric element in the case from thermally being affected. In an oscillator which is made more small-sized and higher in frequency, the heat generated by the IC chip is radiated to outside mold resin to suppress a temperature rise in the oscillator, so that an oscillator which has high precision and high long-period reliability and is adaptive to high frequencies is actualized.
