PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a voltage-controlled oscillator with excellent C/N performance. SOLUTION: This voltage-controlled oscillator is equipped with an oscillation transistor 12 which has its collector grounded in terms of high frequencies, a tank circuit 22 which is connected between the base of the oscillation transistor 12 and the ground, a buffer transistor 13 which is connected to the base of the oscillation transistor 12, and an output terminal 21 connected to the emitter of the buffer transistor 13. Consequently, the Q of the tank circuit 22 never decreases, so the C/N can be improved.
