PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a photosensitive material having the desired absorption and sensitivity waveform as well as high sensitivity and also having improved shelf stability as compared with that by the conventional multilayer adsorption. SOLUTION: The objective silver halide photographic emulsion has been spectrally sensitized with one or more sensitizing dyes each having a moiety capable of forming three or more complementary hydrogen bonds between dye molecules.
