PURPOSE: An iris recognition method by a reaction of pupil and an autonomous nerves ring is provided to discriminate the iris of human quickly and exactly by outputting numerous recognition parameters for an iris recognition according to fibrous tissue of the iris, a reaction of the pupil and the autonomous nerves ring about light, a form of the autonomous nerves ring, and a location and a form of the pupil. CONSTITUTION: Firstly, a user is certified through a card number or a personal identification number by retrieving a database. Next, a location of a camera and numerous light sources are controlled according to a personal information of the certified user, and a stop image and a moving image of an iris are acquired. After this, parameters for a certification are outputted by performing a wavelet conversion of a video signal of a region related to an iris analysis of the acquired stop image. And, region of the pupil and an autonomous nerves ring is detected from the acquired moving image, and parameters for certification are outputted by calculating a dynamic reaction of the pupil and the autonomous nerves ring, and the user is certified by means of the parameters according to the moving image. Next, a region of the autonomous nerves ring is detected from the selected iris image, and parameters are outputted according a form of the region of the autonomous nerves ring. At this time, in case of existing a deterioration pupil, after detecting a region of the deterioration pupil, the user is certified by outputting a location and a form of the detected deterioration pupil.
