PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a disk device in which the loop gain of a mechanism system having a plurality of heads are obtained for a plurality of tracks at high speed and highly accurately for each head and gain dispersion is made constant to suppress the degradation of performance caused by the dispersion of the loop gain of a head positioning mechanism system. SOLUTION: A gain identifying means 15 estimates the loop gain of a mechanism system for each of a plurality of heads 3 on the basis of a head number 20 in which a command is generated. After a target position generating means 18 moves a head according to a track number 19 in which a command is generated, the means 18 generates a sine wave signal. Loop gains for the heads obtained in a plurality of tracks are stored into a memory 14 by interpolating between tracks.
