PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To reduce the response time of a system for retrieving time series data DB through a web, and to reduce processing load of a web server and a DB server, and congestion of updating and retrieval. SOLUTION: This system is provided with a client device 1 having a WWW reading processing means 12, and WWW server device 2 including a WWW server processing means 21 for receiving a request of the reading processing means 12 and returning response data. The DB server device 4 storing time series data is connected to the server device 2, and the data is retrieved from the web reading processing means 12 by this system. The system is provided with a HTML historical data file generating part 24 for periodically retrieving the time series DB under the condition containing the time point information, editing the resulting data of each time point in a file form for the WWW reading processing means 12, and storing the same in an HTML historical data file storing part 32, and a historical data retrieving means 22 for reading out a fitting file from the historical data file storing part 32 in response to a retrieval request for the time series data and returning the same through the server processing means.
