PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a gas burner the thermal efficiency of which can be improved significantly by constituting the burner to apply a swirling force directed to the center of its burner head to a gas discharged from the burner port grooves of the burner head so that flames may be prevented from being diffused and may hit the whole bottom of a pot. SOLUTION: In this gas burner in which the burner port grooves are continuously formed on the rear surface of the burner head so as to uniformly radiate the gas in the horizontal direction, the burner port grooves are formed at angles of 30 deg.-60 deg. from the tangential line to the burner port.
