The pedal comprises a body (C) rotating on a spindle (A) and a first coupling (1) in front of the spindle and a second coupling (2) behind for engaging a wedge fixed under the shoe sole. The body is composed of two half bodies (C1,C2) which each extend in front of and behind the spindle and are articulated (3) together. A rotational lock (M) for the two half bodies enables the adjustment and orientation locking of the two half bodies in two angular positions according to whether the couplings are operational or the half bodies are locked in an angular position which allows the couplings to be withdrawn and the sole to be seated on the half body supports (8,17,18).
