PURPOSE: A cosmetic material is provided to obtain high compatibility with other ingredients of cosmetics, such as oils, surfactants and powders, to ensure high stability in the emulsified state as well as an excellent effect in cleansing sebum stains and durable makeup stains. CONSTITUTION: A cosmetic material mixes a silicone compound represented by the following formula(I): R1aR2bSiO(4-a-b)/2 wherein R1 groups represent a hydrogen atom or a same or different organic group selected from the class consisting of alkyl groups containing 1 to 30 carbon atoms, aryl groups, aralkyl groups, fluorinated alkyl groups, a is a number of from 1.0 to 2.5; b is a number of from 0.001 to 1.5, R2 groups represent a silicone group represented by the following formula(II): - CcH2c -O- (C2H4O)d(C3H6O)eR3 wherein R3 is a hydrocarbon group containing 4 to 30 carbon atoms, or an organic group represented by R4-(CO)-, R4 is a hydrocarbon group containing 1 to 30 carbon atoms, c is an integer of from 0 to 15, d is an integer of from 0 to 50, e is an integer of from 0 to 50, f is an integer of from 1 to 5, and g is an integer of from 0 to 500.
