<p>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a reed for a weaving machine having a simple structure, enabling a sure beating up and capable of improving weavability. SOLUTION: This reed has plural mutually parallel dents 10 and 18. The dents 10 and 18 are equipped with a pair of projections 12 and 14 forming mutually communicating recessed weft guide parts 16 and 17. Each dent 18 of a part opposing to auxiliary apparatuses 5 and 7 such as a selvage guide, a temple in the vicinity of a weaving start 2 is cut into a shape so as not bring the projections 12 and 14 into contact with the auxiliary apparatus 5 during beating up.</p> |
