METHOD FOR PRODUCING CONTOUR LINE OF THREE-DIMENSIONAL COMPUTER GRAPHICS

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a simple method for producing a three-dimensional DG of line drawing style which can be rendered at a high speed and realizes various contour line expressions. SOLUTION: The method obtains a CG picture where the contour is emphasized simply without carrying out a special picture processing by a sequence including the first step for producing a shape for plotting a line drawing with respect to a three-dimensional CG object, the second step for working the shape for plotting the contour line produced at the first step or both of the shape for plotting the contour line produced at the first step and the original three- dimensional CG object, the third step for constituting a new three-dimensional CG object from the shape for plotting the contour line worked at the second step and the original three-dimensional CG object and the fourth step for performing normal rendering calculation to the new CG object constituted.
