PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To receive a transmitted signal from a remote controller even in the case of inversion of a front panel. SOLUTION: An electronic device 1 comprises a device body 2 and a front panel 3 mounted retractably to the device body 2, and receives the signal 202 at a receiver 6 of the body side mounted at the device body 2, that signal 202 is transmitted from a remote controller 201 through a panel side receiver 4 mounted on a first surface 3a of the panel 3 and through a transmitter 5 mounted on a second surface 3b at the back side of the surface 3a. The front panel 3 has a receiver 7 of a second panel side on the second surface 3b and also has a second transmitter 8 on the first surface 3a, so that transmitter 8 transmits the received signal at the receiver 7 to the first surface 3a.
