PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To prevent a terminal from slipping off the pressure contact spot of an electric wire and to prevent the electric wire from coming off. SOLUTION: This pressure contact terminal is formed, by bending a conductive metallic material and is equipped with an electric wire pressure contact part 21, having a pressure contact slot cut from its upper end and an electric wire holding part 22 perpendicularly bent via a recessed part 22a formed between the electric wire holding part and the one end of the electric wire pressure contact part by cutting it from its upper end. The electric wire is held, by inserting the tip of the electric wire brought into pressure contact connection at the electric wire pressure contact part through the recessed part, or the electric wire is held by bending the electric wire holding part as if to wind it around the electric wire which is brought into pressure contact connection at the electric wire pressure contact part.
