PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a combustion state monitoring device to be capable of monitoring state with high precision and to provide a cut state monitoring device to be capable of high-precisely monitoring the cut state of a cast piece being continuously cast. SOLUTION: A photographing means 14 photographs a low temperature spot by receiving a visible ray region when an infrared ray cut filter 13a is mounted and outputs an image, to which halation occurs, as image information. Meanwhile, the photographing means 14 receives visible rays and infrared rays when the infrared ray cut filer 13a is removed. The photographing means 14 receives an infrared ray region having temperature higher than that of the visible ray region since sensitivity to infrared rays is higher than that to the visible ray. As a result, the photographing means 14 photographs with importance to a high temperature spot, such as the fusion part of the cast piece, hardly photographs an object, having a low infrared ray emission amount, such as flame injected through the nozzle of a cutting device.
