PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To ensure stable sealing performance while improvement is attained in productivity of a ball screw device, by making mounting of a seal accurately performable easily in the end face of a ball nut with no skilled work required. SOLUTION: This jig 10, for mounting a seal 7 on the end face of a ball nut 6 of a ball screw device 1, is provided with a seal mounting surface 15 externally inserted capable of being mounted on and demounted from a screw shaft 3 of the ball screw device 1 to be formed axially in a tapered shape in the internal peripheral surface with a protruded part 13 fitted to a helical ball rolling groove 2 of the screw shaft 3 to additionally have a protrusion 16 as a phase adjusting means between the screw shaft 3 and the seal 7 in an end face opposed to the end face of the ball nut 6.
